The West Cork Model Railway Village 

The first of its kind in Ireland, visitors can experience the sights and sounds of life in West Cork during the 1940's. Situated beside picturesque Clonakilty Bay, The Model Village depicts in miniature, life and industry in West Cork as they were 50 years ago. The theme is enhanced by the miniature working railway. In addition to the model village, the "choo choo" - is an old style train that travels around the town at different stages during the day picking people up at the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre, on its travels to explore the town of Clonakilty and Inchydoney. Lagoon Activity Centre, Rosscarbery, West Cork

A day out at the lagoon activity centre is a fun day for everyone. For July & August, this is home to Ireland's largest floating Water Park with trampolines, slides, monkey bars & climbing walls.   You can rent a paddle-boat, row-boat or kayak – they cater for all ages safely. The lagoon is an ideal place to start boating, we will take you through the basics of boating and safety, they will supply life-jackets and have a safety boat on hand at all times. Inchydoney Beach 

Inchydoney Beach was at one time was an Island and is situated 4.5km from Clonakilty. The beauty of The Island (as it is still known locally) with it's magnificent beaches divided by a promontory known as "The Virgin Mary's Bank" has been appreciated by many over the years, and inspired the poet Callanan. Today, the blue flag beach is the perfect spot for a romantic stroll or for a fun filled day for all the family.

Rosscarbery Pitch and Putt Course 

Suitable for both novices and experienced players, a links-like course is also available at Warren Strand. It has both a long and short course option, so even the most dedicated golfer will find it entertaining. They also rent both adult ad children's clubs, where required. Jungle City 

Fresh from London and Edinburgh Frindge Festival, 24 brightly painted life - size animal sculptures have been installed in every nook and cranny around Clonakilty town. Jungle City is a free attraction that both children and adults will absolutely love! They are beautifully decorated by local and international artists. The five types of animals featured in Clonakilty Jungle City include Elephants, Tigers, Orangutans, Crocodiles and Hornbills. these are all featured in Clonakilty Jungle City because they are endangered because they are losing their forect homes.

 

 

West Cork Surf School 

Located at the blue flag, Inchydoney beach in Clonakilty, the West Cork Surf School, is the first established Surf School in Cork and are recognised by the Irish Surfing Association (ISA). They run lessons all year round and are open seven days a week throughout the summer. During the winter months we cater for individuals and small/large groups on Saturdays and Sundays and large groups (8+) during the week. Horse Riding and Pony trekking

Fota Wildlife Park & Fota House & Gardens, Cobh, East Cork

At Fota Wildlife Park you can come face-to-face with over 90 species of exotic wildlife! Appreciate the tranquil surroundings and see conversation in action.
