Clonakilty is located in West Cork approximately 35 miles south of Cork City. When traveling from Dublin, follow signs for Cork and then on the approach to the city, at the Dunkettle Interchange, take the South Ring Road (N40) under the Jack Lynch Tunnel.   Go will drive over 2 fly-overs, then follow signs for Skibbereen, taking the Skibereen exit.  You will go through the towns of Innishannon and Bandon.  Then when you approach Clonakilty you will come to a small Roundabout, take the 2nd Exit from this and continue on the Park Road/Skibereen Road and the Hotel is on the left hand side approximately 1 mile ahead. Traveling by air

Cork airport is the nearest airport and is approx. 35 minutes drive from Clonakilty with flights landing from the UK and mainland Europe. Car rental is also easily arranged through car rental desks located in the airport. For further information, please visit the Cork Airport website .

Traveling by sea

This is ideal for those who wish to use their own car; there is a choice of 3 ports of arrival. The closest port of arrival is Ringaskiddy which is just outside Cork City. Ringaskiddy serves Swansea in Wales and Le Havre, Cherbourg, Roscoff and St. Malo in France. Next Rosslare which is located in the south-east corner of Ireland is suitable for those who prefer a shorter sea journey. From here Fishguard in Wales is just 90 minutes away by Sea Lynx. Standard Ferries and serve Fishguard and Pembroke in Wales, and Cherbourg and Roscoff in France. Finally Dun Laoghaire just outside Dublin links with Holyhead in North Wales for visitors coming from the Midlands and Northern England.

Traveling by rail

If you have arrived in Ireland by air or sea at Dublin / Dun Laoghaire or by sea at Rosslare, a comfortable way to travel onward to Cork or is by train.
